On August 21, the first phase of the IF salon of the National High Performance Medical Device Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as "Guochuang Center") was held in Shenzhen Longhua City Living Room. With the theme of "Russian Medical device Registration and going to sea", the event was hosted by the National Innovation Center and co-organized by the Russian British Shanghai Economic and Trade Co., LTD., Shenzhen Medical Device Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as "Shenzhen Medical Association") and the key regional construction Promotion Center of Longhua District, Shenzhen. Representatives of 25 domestic medical device head enterprises including Shenzhen Diasia, Shanghai United Film, First Health Technology, Shenzhen Pumen, New industry, Yahuilong and silicon-based bionic attended the meeting.
The meeting invited Alexei Alexhin, Adviser to the Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation (hereinafter referred to as "the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation"), Ilya Kazye, Deputy Director of the Institute of Medical Materials of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Igor Ivano, Director General of the Institute of Comprehensive Research and Experimentation in Medical Technology of the State Health Supervision Service, and Philip, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers of the Eurasian Economic Union Romanov, Denis Shvezo, President of the Personalized Medicine Innovation Research Center (ANO), and Sergey Vanin, Executive Director of the International Medical Device Manufacturers Association (IMEDA) attended the meeting.
Russian leaders and experts shared on the current situation and needs of the Russian medical device market, medical device registration regulations and market supervision.
It is reported that in 2022, the Russian medical device market size reached 7231 billion rupees, of which cardiovascular, neurosurgery implant interventional devices, ventilators and other intensive care equipment and other high-end medical devices rely heavily on imports. In particular, under the current international situation, there are still 1,961 medical devices in Russia that have not been produced and registered in Russia and its friendly countries, which need to be supplemented or introduced urgently. As of July 2023, Russia approved 34,600 medical device registration certificates, of which more than 800 Chinese licensed enterprises, the number of licenses more than 2,400, Chinese products have a high share in the Russian market, and the export volume is increasing year by year, but Chinese products in the future in the Russian market still has a huge room for growth.
At the meeting, representatives of 25 Chinese enterprises introduced the company and its product advantages respectively, and conducted in-depth communication and exchanges with leading experts of the Russian side on the practical problems encountered in the registration and market supervision in Russia. The participants responded warmly and said that they had gained a lot and looked forward to more industrial exchange activities.
